Cristina Del Sol
Cristina is a Canadian Mixed Media and Experimental Visual Artist, born in Argentina, where she received formal art training from the National Art Institute, Buenos Aires, Argentina, completing a Bachelor of Fine Art Honour's Degree.
She is an Award winning artist, Associate member of Ottawa Mixed Media Artists with artwork featured in International books, juried art shows and contests, Cristina's paintings are in private collections worldwide.
Some of her artwork have been included in the North Light Books’ "Incite 2 Color Passions: The Best Of Mixed Media!" to be published Oct.2014 and "Best of Watercolor: Splash 14: Light and Color!" published in July/ 2013.
In the 1990's she discovered "Experimental and Intuitive" painting with Maxine Masterfield and Edward Betts. After that she continued her studies with Mary Todd Beam, Robert Burridge and Pat Dews.
To regain a sense of connectedness to nature, she moved from Toronto to rural Ottawa in 2006. She is currently working as a full-time artist, sharing her life with two chocolate Labradors, two cats and a Macaw, while continue taking painting workshops with some of her favorite artists and teaching private workshops in her studio.
